Chesapeake Bay. The community is an Anne Arundel County Special Tax District

In the Beginning:
South River Park dates back to the early 1920's. At that time, Warehouse Creek was known as Shelter Bay. Deed Records document the transfer of the following to the South River Park Citizens Association:
- The John L. Ingalls community beach on Riverside Road, which was dedicated in 1959
- Pier on the Bluff
- Boat ramp at the end of Park Road
- Clubhouse and surrounding grounds
- Approximately four private roads (not maintained by the County)
The community consists of 110 homes. Many of the properties are located along the waterfront. There is access to above mentioned facilities.
