Welcome to South River Park

Situated on the east side of Warehouse Creek, the Park runs from the head waters of the creek all the way to South River allowing quick access to the Chesapeake Bay.  The community is an Anne Arundel County Special Tax District community and is comprised of 110 single family homes with several Community owned assets such as a crabbing/fishing pier, boat ramp, clubhouse and community beach.  South River Park is a member of the Anne Arundel County Special Community Benefits District.  Click HERE for the guidelines!

In the Beginning:

South River Park dates back to the early 1920's.  At that time, Warehouse Creek was known as Shelter Bay.  Deed Records document the transfer of the following to the South River Park Citizens Association:

  • The John L. Ingalls community beach on Riverside Road, which was dedicated in 1959
  • Pier on the Bluff
  • Boat ramp at the end of Park Road
  • Clubhouse and surrounding grounds
  • Approximately four private roads (not maintained by the County)

The community consists of 110 homes. Many of the properties are located along the waterfront.  There is access to above mentioned facilities.
